Amma Odi & KCR Kit is a flagship maternal and child health program launched by the Government of Telangana under the Department of Health, Medical & Family Welfare. Designed to reduce Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR), the program provides comprehensive care at government hospitals. The KCR Kit contains 16 essential items (including clothes, baby soap, powder, mosquito net, and diapers) to support neonatal hygiene for three months. Under the Amma Odi component, pregnant women receive free transport services (via GPS-enabled 102 vans) to hospitals and back home. In addition, mothers receive direct cash assistance up to ₹13,000 to compensate for the loss of work during pregnancy.
