Additional Details
Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) is a flagship social campaign launched by the Government of India in January 2015. The initiative was created to address the declining Child Sex Ratio (CSR) and promote girl child empowerment, safety, and education across the country.
Jointly implemented by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the Ministry of Education, the program seeks to eliminate gender-biased sex selection, encourage school enrolment for girls, and prevent female foeticide. It raises community awareness through grassroot advocacy led by local Anganwadi and ASHAs.
Applying for individual training grants, educational access support, or related district welfare programs under the BBBP initiative is completely free of processing charges.
