Additional Details
Bharat Nirman was launched by the Government of India as a time-bound plan for rural infrastructure. It focuses on six core components to build stronger rural communities: irrigation, roads (connectivity to remote habitations), housing (constructing affordable housing), water supply (clean drinking water), electrification (providing electricity to all villages), and telecommunication (improving connectivity). It remains one of the largest rural integration schemes.
