How to apply
Skill Mapping & Registration
Register at the local Gram Panchayat where returning status and skill/interest profiling are registered.
Job Allocation
Assigned to one of the 25 public works projects (e.g. BharatNet cabling, highway works, farm pond construction) based on skill mapping.
125 Days Wage Credit
Receive daily wage payments directly credited to bank accounts for a guaranteed 125 days of work.

The Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan (GKRA) is a massive employment-generation and rural public works campaign launched by the Government of India. Designed to support returnee migrant workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, it provides 125 days of guaranteed employment across 116 selected districts in six states (Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, and Jharkhand). The program operates through the collaborative effort of 12 ministries and departments to execute 25 diverse infrastructure and development works in rural villages.
