Additional Details
National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) was launched in January 2015 by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The central sector scheme provides 100% funding to preserve and revitalize the natural, cultural, and built heritage of identified heritage cities (such as Varanasi, Puri, Amritsar, Dwarka, and Ajmer). It supports infrastructural improvements, sanitation facilities, pathways, and street lights near heritage assets.
