How to apply
Submit DPR to Chief Veterinary Officer
Prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) detailing cattle housing, water, and procurement, and submit it to the district CVO office.

The District Level Committee reviews the feasibility, validates the land lease, and sanctions the interest-free loan link.

Kamdhenu Yojna is a landmark dairy development scheme introduced by the Animal Husbandry Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The scheme aims to address the low milk yields in the state by facilitating the establishment of commercial dairy units of high-yielding milch cows and buffaloes sourced from outside the state. To accommodate dairy entrepreneurs at all levels, the project is structured into Kamdhenu, Mini Kamdhenu, and Micro Kamdhenu schemes. Under this initiative, dairy entrepreneurs are provided with interest-free capital loans and attractive subsidies to establish farms of 100, 50, or 25 milch animals, enhancing the rural economy and rural milk procurement.
