Additional Details
Kishori Shakti Yojana (KSY) is a key empowerment initiative launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and implemented by the Government of Odisha under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) framework. Redesigning the former Adolescent Girls scheme, KSY targets adolescent girls aged 11 to 18. Its primary objectives are to improve the nutritional and health status of young girls, promote primary healthcare and menstrual hygiene awareness, support their studies, and provide non-formal vocational training. KSY seeks to equip adolescent girls with the life skills and knowledge needed to grow into self-reliant, responsible, and healthy citizens.
