The National Mission for Manuscripts (NAMAMI) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, established in February 2003 to survey, locate, conserve, and digitize India's rich manuscript heritage. The mission aims to create a comprehensive national resource base for manuscripts to enhance access, awareness, and educational scholarship. NAMAMI maintains a national network of 32 Manuscript Conservation Centres (MCCs) and numerous resource partners, and runs the 'Kritisampada' national database. The mission also offers basic and advanced training courses in Manuscriptology and Palaeography, alongside research fellowships.
