One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) is a massive digital science library initiative launched by the Government of India, coordinated by the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor. Under this scheme, the Union Government centrally negotiates, funds, and provides free access to online research journals for more than 6,300 government academic and R&D institutions. Hosted by the Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET), an autonomous UGC project, the common consortium platform houses over 13,000 full-text research papers and journals published by 30 leading international scientific publishers. The scheme empowers nearly 1.8 crore students, faculty, and researchers across public universities, research labs, and IITs by removing expensive paywall barriers.
