Short Term Training (STT)

PMKVY 4.0 is the Government of India's flagship skilling scheme, run by MSDE through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). It offers free, short-term training in industry-aligned job roles and free recognition of prior learning for those already practising a trade informally.
Certificates are NSQF-aligned and validated by sector skill councils. Once issued, they appear in your DigiLocker and on the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) — making them portable across jobs, apprenticeships, and further training.
Apply via the Skill India Digital Hub: register with Aadhaar, choose a job role, find a nearby training centre, and enrol. Most short-term courses run 6–12 weeks.
