Additional Details
Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY) is a central sector scheme launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in the FY 2009–10. It focuses on the integrated development of selected villages having over 50% population belonging to Scheduled Castes. Through the convergence of central and state schemes (such as PMGSY, SSA, MGNREGA), the scheme aims to eliminate disparities between SCs and other communities by improving socio-economic indicators like literacy, drinking water, health, and productive assets, supplemented by a dedicated gap-filling central fund.
