The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) is a flagship scheme launched by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India, to establish a comprehensive framework for the ecological and sustainable development of the fisheries sector. Announced in the Union Budget, it aims to reduce infrastructural gaps, double fishers' income, and implement the Blue Revolution.
