Additional Details
Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) is a flagship rural development programme launched on 11 October 2014 by the Government of India. Under this initiative, Members of Parliament (MPs) adopt and guide the holistic development of Gram Panchayats in their constituencies, turning them into model villages (Adarsh Grams). The yojana relies on people's participation and focuses on converging resources from existing government schemes (such as MGNREGA, PMGSY, and PMAY) alongside MPLADS and CSR funds, rather than creating new financial outlays.
