Additional Details
The Shaadi Bhagya Scheme is a welfare initiative launched by the Government of Karnataka in October 2013. It aims to provide one-time financial assistance of ₹50,000 to women belonging to religious minority groups (such as Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, and Parsi) who are financially backward. The assistance is for wedding expenses, and the scheme is applicable to first marriages, as well as divorcees or widows remarrying, provided the family's annual income is below ₹1.5 Lakh.
