Skill India is a flagship national campaign launched by the Government of India to train and equip Indian youth with industry-relevant vocational skills. Managed by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the mission coordinates several skill-development schemes including Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), SANKALP, and the Skill Loan scheme. The initiative aims to enhance the employability of young citizens, bridge the skills gap, align vocational training with industry standards, and establish India International Skill Centres to foster global job placements.
