The CG Power OSAT facility specializes in Quad Flat No-lead (QFN), Quad Flat Package (QFP), and Ball Grid Array (BGA) packaging for power management ICs, motor controllers, and automotive microcontrollers.
The joint venture is led by CG Power & Industrial Solutions (92.3% equity), with Renesas Electronics Corporation of Japan (6.8%) providing chip technology licenses and Stars Microelectronics of Thailand (0.9%) providing OSAT operational expertise.
The unit received Consent-to-Establish (CTE) and Consent-to-Operate (CTO) from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) and land allotment from Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) in Sanand.
