Additional Details

The MSME Innovative Scheme brings three kinds of support together under one roof: Incubation, Design, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). It is open to MSMEs registered on the Udyam portal and is aimed at helping small enterprises move an idea from concept to a market-ready product.

Under Incubation, an approved idea can receive up to Rs 15 lakh, and a host institute can receive up to Rs 1 crore towards plant and machinery to support incubation. Under Design, the scheme contributes up to 75% of the project cost for a micro enterprise, with student design projects capped at Rs 2.5 lakh.

The IPR component reimburses the cost of protecting your work: up to Rs 5 lakh for a foreign patent, Rs 1 lakh for a domestic patent, Rs 2 lakh for a Geographical Indication, Rs 15,000 for a design registration, and Rs 10,000 for a trademark.

Applying through the official MSME portal is free. You should never pay an agent or middleman to apply on your behalf — any required application fees are paid only on the government portal itself, and no one can guarantee approval for a price.
