Official fee
₹0 — completely free
Applying for a MUDRA loan is free and collateral-free. Banks may charge regulated processing fees on the sanctioned loan, but no one may charge you to apply — agents demanding an upfront 'file fee' are not authorised.
Beware of lookalike portals
Fraudsters circulate fake MUDRA sanction letters and demand 'processing charges' to release loans. MUDRA and member banks never ask for payment before disbursal. Apply only through your bank or jansamarth.in.

Additional Details
Tarun Plus is the top tier of the Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY), announced in the Union Budget 2024-25, raising the MUDRA loan ceiling from ₹10 lakh to ₹20 lakh. It funds the next stage of growth for micro-enterprises that have already proven they can borrow and repay responsibly.
The defining condition is repeat eligibility: Tarun Plus is available only to entrepreneurs who have previously availed a loan under the Tarun category (₹5–10 lakh) and successfully repaid it. This rewards a clean credit record and lets a growing micro-business step up to a larger, still collateral-free facility.
Loans are collateral-free and guaranteed for the lender under the Credit Guarantee Fund for Micro Units (CGFMU), so banks can lend on your track record rather than on security. Apply through the JanSamarth portal for cross-bank discovery, or directly at a participating bank branch. Applying is free — you should never pay an agent to apply on your behalf.
